Wonder no more!

The MDN
National Benchmarking
Initiative (MDN-NBI) is the first nationwide
benchmarking service that compares your inpatient
hospital glucose values to institutions similar to yours
and to a national benchmark.
-
MDN-NBI
includes 3 tiers of reports that provide hospital
administrators and caregivers the ability to choose the
depth of inquiry desired.
-
Hospital
demographics are included to provide a true national
benchmark.

MDN-NBI goes beyond
benchmarking...
MDN-NBI offers access to best
practice information, enables data-driven comparison of
treatment modifications and strategies to evaluate Tight
Glycemic Control protocols, is a valuable resource for
hospitals participating in Pay-for-Performance (P4P)
initiatives, and allows clinicians to monitor ongoing
trends.
To test this national benchmarking service MDN conducted a
pilot
with 11 hospitals. The graph below shows aggregated glucose
levels of 1.45 million results at these hospitals over the
same 90-day periods in 2003 and 2004.
